Baked Cheesy Chicken Avocado Meatballs

Give your old and outdated meatball recipe the healthy and delicious twist it deserves with this scrumptious recipe! This is just one of the many healthy and mouth-watering ways you can use your 5 Litre Multi-purpose Air Fryer, while not compromising on taste.


Things you’ll need:

500g Chicken breasts, chopped or minced
1 Large egg
1/2 Cup almond meal
1/2 Cup grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 Cup mashed avocado (1 medium size avocado)
4 Small courgettes, grated
1 Teaspoon Italian seasoning
Pinch of salt
1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 Teaspoon onion powder

Step 1

Spray the basket of your 5 Litre Multi-purpose Air Fryer with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

Step 2

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until thoroughly mixed.

Step 3

Using an ice cream scoop, make about 12 balls and place them on the greased baking sheet, about 4cm apart (wet hands help in shaping smooth balls. Have a small bowl filled with water, dip the palm of your hands and shape them with ease). If you do not have an ice cream scoop, simply use a heaped tablespoon.

Step 4

Place the meatballs in your 5 Litre Multi-purpose Air Fryer and bake at 190°C for 10-12 minutes. Cook in batches until all done.

Step 5

Serve the meatballs with barbecue or sweet chilli sauce.
